upper division math course advice

I am an incoming transfer student majoring applied math. I originally planned to take math 110 and stat 134, the two upper division courses plus a language course(Chinese or Japanese). However, I was unable to add into 134 cuz it's full. Instead, I signed up for math 128A.

I am just wondering is the workload okay for a new transfer student taking both math 110 and 128A at the same time. (Depart. advisors strongly discourage me to do so though.)

Anyone took 128A before? How was it?

It should be OK, but I’m a pure math major, and can’t comment on specifics. Advisors always freak out a little more than you should.

both super easy. actually 128a might be tricky depending on the prof.

mrunclearamos ---- I am taking 128A with Strain J, and my friend told me he is okay.
What I’m worried about is i have no previous experince with matlab, can I still survive?

Have you programmed before? If you have, you should be fine.

No, no experince at all…
