Upward Trend Question (chance/advice)

I know its probably a little too early for me to be asking this since I am only a sophomore but this is really important to me. I basically sucked freshman year and slacked hard but now I am ready to work hard so that I may get into Boston college or other top colleges. Also I am taking classes to prepare for the ACT. Does BC look favorably upon students who have a upward trend? Take a look at my stats:

Freshman - 2.74
Sophomore 1st Semester - 3.4
Sophomore 2nd Semester (current) - 3.8

Current Cumlative GPA - 3.0

EC’s

-Police Explorers (tons of community service from this one)
-Naval Sea Cadets
-Habitat For Humanity
-JV/V Baseball
-Harvard Model Congress
-Leadership position in Future Business Leaders Of America Club

I am planning on taking almost all AP’s junior year to up my GPA even further and doing more community service. So since I am on a upward trend do I still have a chance to get into BC? Please give advice if you can. Thanks!

Your fine don’t worry! It’s your sophmore year. You have plenty of time to improve your GPA, take several AP classes, and get a great ACT score. I wish you best of luck!

Thanks for the assurance. I kick myself for my freshman year, but I am glad that I am improving sophomore year. It would’ve been way worse if I didn’t change and did bad my 1st semester sophomore year.

Yea I’m definitely looking for a 4.0 junior year and the rest of sophomore year. I probably won’t be able to get to a 3.9 cumulative but ill be able to raise it somewhat
