Urban schools with strong Arabic and IR programs?

I'm looking for mid-large sized universities in or near a big city with strong programs in Arabic and international relations. I'd also rather be on the East Coast or California. I'm applying to McGill, GWU, and American, but I need to consider some more realistic options. I'm Hispanic and have about a 3.1 UW and a 28 ACT. I'd appreciate any recommendations that I could consider a match or safety with these stats. Thanks.

Ohio State for Arabic

I don’t really want to go to school in the midwest and OOS tuition is pretty expensive.

Brandeis
Boston University
SUNY Binghamton (not urban)

The CARLA Less Commonly Taught Languages database will be helpful to you:

bump .

And the schools you quoted (McGill, GWU, and American) aren’t? What is your home state? What can your family afford?

GWU and American are about 50 grand each so most oos publics would be cheaper unless you get significant aid or scholarship. I would suggest you take a look at Pitt as a match if you raise your gpa.
