Hi there,

Thinking about attending either Cornell or WashU or Vassar as an Urban Studies major and was wondering if anyone knows anything about this program at each school and how they compare (or which one is the quote unquote best)?

Thanks

Would you be pursuing this through the Architecture school, or Arts & Sciences (via American Studies?)?
Maybe figure this out, based interests/ courses/curriculum.
Look at the course listings, check out the #/ type of relevant courses that may be available to you at each university, maybe one matches your interests more. Then also consider how it might work for you there if you change your intended major.

there is an urban planning major in AAP and it is very good. it is kind of like an urban studies mixed with planning mixed with sociology

My sense is that the urban studies program at Cornell is the best, academically speaking, plus you have all of the other courses across the university to explore as well (e.g. horticulture, civil engineering, American studies, labor relations, etc.).

Of course, you may like the environment at Vassar or WashU better.

i recommend you look at the requirements for each major and figure out which one you like best…
