Here's my problem:
I actually should have a B in a class but my teacher made a mistake and has reported a D for my current progress report (not the quarter or the semester, but the progress report for the first half of the quarter). How you ask? Well, there are so few points at the moment and the teacher forgot to give me credit for one assignment.
He does not want to bother with changing grades at the moment. Will a college that I am on the borderline for acceptance contact my school to view my progress report?

Note: You usually only get a progress report for a class that you have a C or under in. So theoretically, the progress report is not an accurate report of the students' progress across the full spectrum of classes (it is supposed to be for the student and the parents more-so than the colleges, my teacher thinks)

Does anyone have experience with this?? Will say...(insert private school name here) see my undeserved D and reject me?

Remember, this is a 5 week progress report and not a quarter report or a semester report. Thank you!!!

Not at all, colleges will only check back to see how you are doing either a) first semester -for privates or b) end of the school year. Progress reports don't mean anything...but rather keep you informed. Hope that helped.

I can't answer this for sure, but I don't think so. Unless you are a senior and need to report mid-year grades or whatever, this shouldn't be a big deal. At my school, the transcript only shows 1st and 2nd semester grades, no progress reports or report cards even. I guess it all depends on how your school shows your final grades on your transcript.

I understand that progress report grades don't show up on transcripts but-alright-call me paranoid...
what are the chances a college will actually call my counselors? say if they want to know something more about me. and all the counselor has to say is that hmmm... "so and so has a D on her progress report"

Possible?

I know, I know, if I'm so worried I should do something about it. The thing is, I already asked my teacher twice and I don't think he really likes me. So..if the progress report could potentially be serious I would be willing to involve the school counselors and my parents.
(Goodness, why can't this teacher just submit my rightfully earned grade?!)

Progress reports don't go anywhere that I've ever heard of.

Mid yer grades were already sent out.

Unlikely any admissions rep will call your GC, especially at this late date. decisions for all schools are likely made and sitting to go out. They are working on transfers at this point.

The next thing to go out from your school is your high school transcript (includes final grades for senior year not quarterly grades).

YOu can confirm this with your GC office but I think you have nothing to worry about.
