Does applying to the LSA honors program hurt you chances for preferred admission at Ross? The app is due tonight. I am not sure if I should send it.
Does sending in honors application before you hear back from ross hurt you chances at getting into ross as an incoming freshman?
From their site: I am applying to Ross School of Business. Should I apply to Honors? If you have expressed interest in another school or college in your UM application, we will admit you to Honors only if it is clear that you also have significant interest in the fields that are studied in LSA.

@johnsooon the Jan 13th deadline is only the first of 3 deadlines. If you are really unsure it might be worth it to wait another cycle.
But from what I know, it most likely will not hurt. I’ve had friends who applied to both and neither affected the other. And I’m sure the people at Ross know that a majority of students will easily pick preferred admission to Ross over the Honors Program, so I highly doubt it would have any effect whatsoever.

I was invited to apply after being accepted EA. I didn’t complete the application to honors until the 3rd cycle and still got in. YMMV of course.
