<p>I am writing the Jan 28 SAT. I am quite well prepared for all the sections, but the Essay section is giving me nightmares. I am an international, and I started SAT prep with very little knowledge of the test. As I am generally quite good at writing in English class in school, I decided to prepare for the Essay section after I had finished preparing for the rest of the sections. So, I started with the Essay just two weeks ago and discovered that there was a lot I didn't know. I have since then been practicing as many essays as possible, but coming up with good examples on the spur of the moment is a big problem for me. I have researched a few universal examples - some famous people and some novels - but my knowledge of world history/politics is very limited, and it is really difficult to cram too many details at such short notice into my brain. Can someone PLEASE help? Is it worth spending the last week I have learning details of potential examples? If it is, can you please suggest two - three good ones that are applicable in most situations ( coz i can think of either too many or none)? What else can I do to try for a 12?</p>
