URGENT!!! Help needed ASAP...

I have an ACT score of 31 n 3.87 gpa. I can attend University of Alabama Huntsville only on scholarship. But for scholarship to be granted, My application should be completed and for that I will need to show that my family can pay for entire school year without the scholarship. But this is not possible. My mother is a single parent and we don’t have any relative that can fulfill this requirement. What should I do in this case? Has anyone ever faced this issue. Please guide me.

I don’t think you are reading the instructions correctly. Public schools don’t usually ask for proof you can pay when you apply.

You need to contact the college directly. This is a very specific question and you want to make sure you are getting the most correct answer. You can find their email address on their website and ask directly to the admissions office.

You’re an international student, right? And this has to do with requirements for your student visa, right? If so, direct your question to the school. They will explain how to proceed. Good luck!

contact the int’l office. I don’t know what UAH’s rules are, but UA will subtract the scholarship amount.

If UAH agrees to subtract the scholarship amount, how will your mom be able to show that she can pay all the remaining costs?

@mom2coIIegekids Mam we do have the remaining amount in our bank and some friends that can help with the remaining amount. But not the entire costs. I have e-mailed the admission office but not received a response yet. And in the last reply they gave me, they asked for the full amount. I don’t know what to do…

@katliamom Yes mam… this is being asked for the student visa and stuff. I have mailed them. I just hope they understand my circumstances and help solve this issue. Thank you for your wishes. I’ll probably need a bucket full of these.

@MichiganGeorgia I thought so too mam… But it is not so. The bigger problem is that the orientation is on 14 and I have yet to receive my I-20 for visa and stuff. I don’t really know what to do.

@powercropper I have e mailed them mam. Waiting for a positive reply.

@mom2coIIegekids Mam… we do have the remaining funds and some of our friends can help to cover the remaining costs. But we can’t cover the complete costs. have contacted the UAH office but I am yet to receive a response. I am worried because I have to complete visa related stuff and the orientation is coming near…
