It's almost that time for me to make my decision, and I still have not made up my mind, but I have narrowed it down to two schools. I got into DARTMOUTH with no financial aid, meaning I would have to pay $46,000. On the other hand, there is BRANDEIS in which I received full tuition. Which one should I attend? Which has the better package? Please HELP! Btw...I plan to major in the science field, so biology/chemistry/biochemistry...something of the sort.

okay...when I went to dimensions I had the great fortune to speak to a biology faculty member. here's the catch: if you like cellular/molecular genetics or (sorry...I don't know the technical name but it's something like environmental studies, I think), then definitely go to Dartmouth. If not, especially in your case with "free ride or no ride" then you might want to seriously consider that free ride. Good luck! ^_^

I love Dartmouth, but Brandeis isn't exactly your state U. After all four years in college, you'll be extremely grateful for that full ride vs. shelling out $185K or having tons of loans.

If money is an issue, take the full ride. Brandeis isn't Dartmouth, but it's a very good school. On the other hand, if your family can afford to pay the huge Dartmouth tuition and they are ok with it, then choose the place you like better.

Brandeis is also a very good school. If you do decide to go to Brandeis, as long as you make the most of your education there, you should end up with the same experience as you would have at Dartmouth. Good luck on deciding! :)

As much as I absolutely love Dartmouth, this is one case I'd probably recommend Brandeis. ~$200000 cheaper, and certainly a great school. I don't see that choosing Brandeis over Dartmouth will be a significant detriment in your future.

Of course, if the cost is of no concern, come to Dartmouth :D
