Urgent! Help With Financial Aid

so i just checked my financial aid status on the website to make sure they received everything...they've gotten CSS, FAFSA, the Columbia aiid application, but they haven't received my 2006 tax returns or the verification worksheet (which they never asked for) yet. i faxed in my tax return forms on March 1, however, they are not the typical tax return...it was just an income conversion chart of my dad's income because he makes money in Korean money (Won) and we were told all we needed to do was translate his income information since his tax return is in Korean. I am wondering if the rreason why they have the status has "not received" is because we did not send in an actual US TAX RETURN? should i be worried? is it possible that are still processing my financial aid information and haven't put it in as received?

thank you...any replies are appreciated ASAP

i sent my forms in over a month ago, but the website still says "not received." i called the office two weeks ago, and she said it was because of the high volume of documents, so just wait or call them.

oh thank you so much, that makes me feel so much better :D
i was afraid they hadn't gotten the fax or something, but i had suspected that it was because they were receiving so many documents.
anyone else in a similar situation?

better than me, I wasn't aware I was supposed to send the tax returns till after March 1st, so I sent them, like, 2 weeks late.

I've come to the conclusion that this meanst hat I won't get aid, so if I get in I can't get aid.

Considering the large endowments and generous finaid offices of the universities in this tier, I think you'll be fine.

I sent in my finaid a bit late too, but they said that it would only mean that when they send out the decisions, they MIGHT be unable to tell you how much they can give you in finaid.

To people who have already sent them in but hadn't seen it shown up on the online listing> Did they update it today?
