Alright, during my Freshman year of HS, to be honest, I didn't do too well.

My overrall average for the year was a 83, which I guess equivalates to something above a 3.0.

Anyways, my schedule will potentially look like this:

10th:

US History 11
Chemistry 11
English Honors
Math A3/Math B
Spanish

11TH

AP US History
AP Bio
AP English
AP Spanish
Pre-Calc

12th

AP Calculus
AP Physics

Along with that, I'll also have:

500 hrs of community service
Job at New York Hall of Science
National Honor Society
Debate Team
Music (i play tenor sax)
Volunteer Counselor at Summer Camp

Now, if I were to pull off a good score on the SAT (i.e - 2250 +), would I be able to get into an Ivy League school such as Dartmouth or Brown? What about Stanford?

you sure are assuming a lot considering you've just finished your freshman year.

500 hours of community service is a whole lot of time and I'm assuming that it'll be done over the summer since during school that would be near impossible.

From just looking at your "assumed stats," you dont have anything that really make you stand out from any of the other applicants to those schools (especially Stanford).

However, I would bet you would get into at least 1 of the ivies if you applied to enough of them (but who would want to do that?)

You should look at the schools that actually interest you and have a good reputation in the field you are thinking of studying. I know when I was in your shoes, ivies looked like the only schools that would be worth considering. However, that is not the case after you've been through 3+ years of hs.

Enjoy your underclassman experience while you can! Don't come back until your a junior at the very least.

haha you are doing what I first did when i got onto CC (constantly pressing f5 waiting for a reply). What kind of minority are you?

Also, what would you like to study in college and do afterwards. the way to impress a college is to tell them you like to do something and then substantiate that statement by doing as much as you can in that study as you can (i.e-internships, volunteer work there).

I'm Arab.

I'd like to do probably something relating to engineering or pre-med.

But, which EC's would increase my chances of getting into at least one of the ivies? Writing is my strong suit.

umm yeah it's hard to tell because you've only finished freshman year, but if you truly want a good chance of getting into the ivies you should have some sort of passion (something you do because you love it not becuase you just wanna get into the ivies.) your sched and predicted test scores pretty much mean nothing because they are predicted. see what happens. then decide. you've got 2 years. live your life.
