Hey I submitted my common app and supplement around 8 o clock. I am accustomed to getting an automated email saying thank you for sending in the application or sumtin like that, but for NYU I still havent recieved anything. Does this mean they didnt get it? Also, in my payment, i gave in all the info, printed the page, but didnt click finish. could that be a reason?

You should consider calling or emailing the school to verify everything was received.

If you didn't pay...they're probably not going to accept it.

im having the same prob
i sent it in common app last night but i never received an email from nyu verifying this-even though on the common app page, it clearly says "submitted"
i will be calling them on tue to confirm that they have received it
i also sent in my payment at the same time, but the site that it wont be sent till jan. 17th, tue (given that mon is a holiday)
as to pressing finish- yeah, i think that might be it
but call- just to be safe
that's what im gonna do

I would call them but you may have to wait a few days since MLK day is tomorrow. I dunno if they are open.

Do not call them. On your commonapp checklist page it will tell you if the college has downloaded your aplication. Expect this to happen on the 17th.

Note...
I don't believe I got a confirmation from any college that I submitted an application to. The only confirmation I ever receive comes a week or two later notifying me that my application is complete.

the thing about the payment...... it gave me a payment tracking number and everything so Idk if it makes a difference if i pressed finished or not

You DO NOT have to hit the finished button. The only reason why that is there is because commonapp does not want you hitting the back button.

Did you print out the payment information.
The page you exited on says the following at the top...

"Thank You for Your Payment"

ya i did....... so i guess im ok then

redsox7327 got it -- mine was submitted yesterday and downloaded today. As long as it's been paid for and submitted, you should be fine.
