Urgent Siemens Question that will take a second to answer

For Siemens, can you do a project on breast cancer?

It says that you cannot work with humans, but does this count? I am doing it in relationship to how it affects humans and certain proteins with breast cancer.

I've been working on this for a while now and I just realized that I might not be able to do this?

I would be so mad.

anybody done this before?

You can absolutely do a project on breast cancer. It’s perfectly legitimate as long as it can somehow fit into one of Siemens’s categories:

[Siemens Competition](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools)

Um, where does it say that you can’t work with humans? What exactly does your project involve anyway? You need to specify how you did your study because whether or not your project qualifies for Siemens depends on your methodology or how your studied breast cancer, not your research topic itself. If you mainly worked with certain proteins involved with the development of breast or something like that, then that’s not really considered a human study. If you did an epidemiological type of study on a population involving breast cancer, then your project may be considered “social research” and may not be eligible. In that case, try Young Epidemiological Scholars competition instead.

By the way, this doesn’t really belong in the college admission forum.
