URGENT: Transfer Student Agreement

I have to make my transfer college decision in an hour

If I agree to matriculate at another institution (deposit) and then change my mind and want to stay at my current institution, can I forfeit the deposit without consequences to my current enrollment? Of course I’m not going to double enroll, that is clearly unethical, but I’m still not sure if going to my dream school is worth giving up the life I’ve created for myself at my current school.

I know I should have decided this already, but I misread the deadline and thought I had an extra day.

Yes. You can change your mind.

You will lose your enrollment deposit but that is it.

Until you tell your current college/university that you are leaving, and formally withdraw, they will still expect you to show up next semester. You have time to think this all through.

Thank you so much! I can’t tell you what a relief this is.
