Hi everyone,
I will be applying to Notre Dame next year and I was wondering what is the trend for URM admits. Does ND have a large minority population? Will me being a URM (Hispanic / Latino) give me any advantage in the process in addition to applying early (early action)?

When I visited there didn’t seem to be a large minority population. That being said, I’m not sure if it would help or hurt you, but I couldn’t possibly imagine that it could negatively affect you. I will also be applying in the fall

@mack900 Yes, being a minority will help you a lot, and applying early should help a lot, too. I’d definitely put some time into thinking about essays this summer, and wrap up anything with extracurrics – I had to wait for Regular bc my essays weren’t ready and I hadn’t finished my Eagle Scout.
As GMTplus7 said, the info on demographics is all out there, but it is true that the minority population at ND is small relative to other schools like it. This actually works to your advantage, though, as they’re looking for more minority kids.
