<p>Essay- "Table".
I will write about a "Table".How the table is important to me: In Africa my family and I were in a war and so we hide underneath the table from the bombs. Now, since I am in the USA for many years, don’t know exact number... but anyways, now my parents uses it to talk about bills and how will survive for next day. </p>

<p>So the essay will be a contrast of the use of a table in two different countries and different situations.</p>

there was a proposal about a year ago that would have ban affirmative action in all state schools in michigan. It passed by a 60/40 vote. As for your chances it is a reach. Umich wants a 3.8-4.0 GPA average... A-/A with a couple Bs. and for test scores they are looking for 27-31... not sure of the conversion on the SAT scale. maybe 1800-2000?</p>

<p>If you can increase your SAT to beyond a 2000, that would significantly increase you chances.
Also, it is not clear whether you are a junior or a senior... you said you might be able to increase your rank?.</p>

<p>you really don't want to apply near the deadline... very bad idea. Qualified students get rejected/waitlisted at the deadline.</p>

<p>You should aim for at least a 3.7 or 3.8 GPA at probably and around a 2000 on the SAT. The average GPA is 3.8-4.0 and the average SAT is 1920-2180.</p>
