Who is considered Urm

Primarily Hispanic, Black, Native American

Sometimes Eastern European

Asians should be considered URM cuz they are under represented majority...they make up 60% of the world's population but only 10-20% at most schools which is 40% difference...lol...asians should be the ones getting special treatment

No race should get special treatment, YOU are a joke.

middle easterns???

Kian: middle easterns are considered caucasian i think, but not sure.

Gospy: calm down, sheez...

So if my parents come from 2 different small countries in Asia and my father is 25% Spanish , I would still be considered an Asian and not URM?
Also what are the thoughts regarding checking "Others" and not "Asian" on the application form.

and they are at some schools, a fact that some CCers just won't accept for some reason

If you are a little part URM, like 1/8 native american, do you still get to check that box?

I think Filipinos and Pacific Islanders may be grouped in URM also....not too sure, though....

Spetnaz, so what are the schools that treat Asians as URM?
