as if yet another post is necessary, is the consensus really that established?

is there anyone who's even the least bit skeptical about this?

as if yet another post is necessary, is the consensus really that established?

is there anyone who's even the least bit skeptical about this?

it does seem as though everyone is being able to see all of that information…

you think those that can’t see it are more inclined to post or those who CAN see it? obviously the latter so it seems as if everyone sees it.

yeah but its not like we know these people in real life…i cant imagine it being something that scary to post “AHHHH I DONT SEE IT WHAT DOES THIS MEAN…” especially since there have been cases when people dont see it and do get in

I too am a bit skeptical because a lot of people with stats on the low side have been able to see the finaid summary

This is from my URSA, but maybe everyone have the same thing
http://i44.■■■■■■■.com/29nk02w.jpg
http://i40.■■■■■■■.com/sbqwp4.jpg

^ i agree.
also, of the people who post often enough on this forum, how many have been rejected from ANYWHERE? omitting cases of UCSC rejection… which are explainable. stupid, yes… but explainable. i just wouldn’t have a hard time believing that 80% of the people on this forum will get into UCLA…

i just get the (once intimidating, now comforting) impression that generic statistics can’t possibly apply to the CC ‘community’, because most members have such outstanding performance records… ie, if UCLA’s transfer acceptance rate is, let’s say, 30%, i wouldn’t call it unreasonable to assume that 80% of CCers will get in.

so… even if it appears to mean nothing since it seems like ‘everyone can see it’, that doesn’t seem like reason enough to dismiss the previous years’ applicants consensus that it does, in fact, = acceptance <— a consensus established after the fact.

wait… hugoable were you able to even see your FA summary?

“especially since there have been cases when people dont see it and do get in”

that’s beside the point… and i think it’s been well established:

see award info page = indicasion of acceptance

can’t see award info page DOES NOT = indication of rejection

weezy baby, you mean this one?

Summary 2009-2010 Academic Year

transferguy, the people whose stats are lower (like mine) seem to be applying to unimpacted majors.

also, keep in mind that 3.7 isn’t low. even for impacted majors, it tends to be ~50th percentile range.

transferguy like I posted earlier, if people with low GPA’s do see their finaid its good stuff. why the doubt? maybe they wrote incredible essays and have lots of EC its not only GPA’S all the time. as long as we see it we should be very happy, not have any negativity. and I am sure that many who cannot see still have a shot at getting in since this all goes on a rolling basis. Instead of doubting we should wish the people who cannot see their finaid luck, not talk about us probably being rejected because I think we’re practically in and congratulations.

yay!! you have it. you have no numbers on it though? i thought even the ones who don’t need aid show the cost of attendance? i believe it’s around 25k. well anyways you should be safe. :D

sheep.

was there anyone who saw the financial aid and did not get accepted???

The best evidence I could find was with this thread:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/498712-b-ucla-theory-verification-lets-find-out-b.html

kidRobot had another thread he dug up too that backed up seeing FA summary = acceptance.

People need to remember that there were people who got in without seeing the FA summary.

Here is the other thread that kidRobot posted:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/497157-dug-up-bunch-people-who-could-not-see-fin-aid-summary.html

the point should be made that there has never been a report of anyone who was ABLE to see their FA but later was REJECTED.

If you apply logic, UCLA wouldnt even bother to process the FAFSAs of all students… seeing as they reject 50%+ of all transfer students.

DKJ, hopefully the answer is NO! and that all of us who can see the finaid summary get in. I also hope people who CANNOT see it can still get in as well.

im just wondering but what do you guys mean when you can “see your financial aid summary”?

this is what i see so far:
