it is my second time being verified… i was verify this year at my cc but now im being verified again by ucla for next year

this is getting very annoying …

i woke up late hoping to see some update :(

Has anyone asked or does anyone know if the ‘Provisional Awards’ are showing up only for the peolpe who will be able to recieve fin. aid?

I would rather not call the FA office because I am sure they are getting irritated with all of the calls regarding these updates.

Also, I found this. http://www.fao.ucla.edu/Forms/pdfs/0910%20ePAL%20Guide.pdf

@CBBolts I have no idea. I have been accepted to UCSD as an independent student and even though I am able to see my award letter they are still requesting for a verification worksheet by May 1st( I think everyone must fill out a verification worksheet, correct me if I am wrong). This leads me to believe that the FA and Admissions are processed independently, however, I believe that admissions are processed first because UC’s also give additional awards based upon Academic performance and why would they go through the trouble of factoring that in for someone’s FA and then passing it on to be processed ?

@ rocklee: i agree… did your ePAL yesterday have school-specific awards? mine had like 10k of scholarship and 5k of pell.

Wow, that’s great! I only got like 3k scholarship. All my info is on first page.

do you have to apply for calgrant separately?

I think that’s the one that requires you to submit GPA verification. So all you need to do is complete FAFSA and submit GPA. My school electronically submits all students GPA so that worked out pretty good.

The first semester of college, you did have to apply for it, or something. ;P

After that, you complete the GPA verification form. Some CCC’s do it automatically, but don’t trust them on that, double check! That’s freaking $8,000 (more or less, depending on which Cal Grant you got).

speaking of cal grants…has anyone checked theres through cal grant themselves???
