Urta

Is URTA the same as National Unified Auditions for Theater? I saw a school saying that they would be at the URTA but then went to the website for National Unified ... and did not see this school listed. Am I looking in the wrong place for unified auditions for musical theater or is there more than one place I need to be looking? Thanks.

Do you mean UPTA? I think that is for professional actors available to work year round.

I think URTA is the Univ. Resident Teachers Association:

University/Resident Theatre Association - Home

URTA (University Resident Theatre Association) is similar to Unifieds, but for graduate schools of theatre.

The website link that NotMamaRose posted will take you directly to their website.

Yes, URTA is the organization which the NUA/I (National Unified Auditions and Interviews) take place. Some people also refer to the NUA/I auditions as the URTA auditions. Go to URTA's website to apply for the auditions. For acting, the deadline is Nov. 14th.

Keep in mind that these auditions for for grad school & some but not a lot of regional theaters and acting companies.
