US colleges Ranking

Can anybody tell me where I can see the latest college rankings? Or, just write down here, pliz? "at least first 50 colleges, kk"

These are the most famous and influential rankings of National Universities:

and liberal arts colleges:

They're somewhat controversial, but give you a broad, general idea of where the colleges tend to rank. In other words, use them to determine where a particular college generally falls--and which schools are its peers--and not to determine whether a particular college ranks one, two, or three spaces above another.

any more??

well, that's THE ranking when ppl talk of college rankings. so you don't really care about any other rankings whether it be from Forbes or Times because nobody cares about those rankings.

I dont know about rankings, but I know this much. If you are from Mongolia and want to attend college in New York City, then Fordham would LOVE to have your application. In particular the Rose Hill-Main campus in the Bronx.

Bring it on!

9 out of 10 Mongols prefer these rankings.

Haha, isn't Mongol not PC? Sort of like "Polack" v. "Pole."

By the way, that is a really, really funny list.

Mongols is OK unless you are talking about gangs. What's funny about the list? It is generally the highest regarded international ranking list outside the US. I just posted the US/NA group.

Now c'mon barrons. You stuck that in there because it's one of the very few polls that has Wisky above Michigan. ;-)

amraa-kaze

In what do you plan to major?
Do you prefer small colleges or large universities?

Barron actually likes Michigan. I bet he likes this list 'cause Wisky is way above Duke...

I know it GoBlue81. That's why i put the ;-) in there. :-)

wisky = Univ Wisconsin - Madison. right???

UW also leads UM in total research funding, NAS members not in the Medical School (actually in the regular colleges), and we beat them in football and basketball this year. It was a good year. But sure, I like UM too. It's a great school and has some strengths I'd like UW to duplicate like a great business school. But UM would kill to have our seamless tech transfer and patent licensing machine. And maybe our lakefront student union.

UW does not need to be mentioned in a thread about rankings. The intellect of the student body at Wisconsin-Madison resembles that of a small population of squirrels except the women are obese due to their abnormally large consumption of cheese.

Go to UW if you're looking to become the next big lumberjack or dairy producer. barrons makes fun of all the bankers that get laid off, but at least we're still living in apartments on the Upper East Side and bringing home the bacon every month. I'd rather build models for eternity than live in a log cabin and scratch my mutt's ears 24/7.

Next time I munch on a bag of cheetos at work, I'll make sure to thank barrons and the fine students of UW.

You only embarrass yourself with such stupid comments. And they won't be in those apartments long with no income--of course some of them will have new housing courtesy of the US Federal Prisons.
I had a call just this week from a former Citi I-banker looking for a job. I invited him to come on out to beautiful Seattle for an interview. I'm hiring.

"The intellect of the student body at Wisconsin-Madison resembles that of a small population of squirrels "

Actually, the 1250 SAT score of the student body would place UW students with an aggrate IQ of ~122 and place them in the ~91%tile in this category. The average UW student is more than smart enough, as measured by testing to carry out 99%+ of the jobs that exist.

The actual average SAT was 1267 for last year's class. That should add about 1 IQ point. ;-)

lolwut.

I didn't realize that the SAT still correlates to IQ.
Does this mean I'm a genius? I highly doubt it. Highly.

By the way, cheese and Cheetos are both delicious. Do not knock on them.
