US History

I'm taking the test in a couple weeks. any tips/suggestions concerning the test?

open up a prep book.

i've heard that AMSCO works wonders. that's what i'm using for mine in may.

ive been studying for awhile already.... i just mean for anybody who did well on the test if they have any tips for me about the test itself?

Haha same boat here. I just purchased my US hist book and am preparing for next week- and i'm an international (figured i'd try to learn sth while getting SATs done)

I've found the Kaplan book pretty good, although I've had to refer to Wikipedia quite a fair bit as well. Wikipedia has a pretty helpful timeline thing which shows the major dates:

History of the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Timeline of United States history - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Have found US history to be pretty fascinating, although I keep deviating and reading up on conspiracy theories (which seem to happen at every turn of US history). Hope this helps haha

theres a lot of random stuff. read up a little on music, books, and culture.

Sparknotes prep was literally a godsend.

I got a 780 on the U.S. History.

The one I took didn't cover anything after 1970. I have no idea if that's the norm, though.

i had some stuff about reagan and carter.

I think on this last one, we got at least 3 modern history questions.
