Yes, I realize $15 is a pittance compared to the price of college.

But still, I'm asking, will I get information there that I won't get in the Fiske Guide or on the College Board web site? Or will I find, at least, that information that's available all over the place is conveniently catalogued for me in one place?

IMO, it’s worth it. I bought it for a couple of years. Now I buy their grad school/pro-school product. It’s quite helpful but the data is out there for free on the ipeds site and others. Great data is available through the Common Data Sets published by many schools. papachicken here on cc has in the past posted links to Common data sets.

I bought it but did not use it more than a couple of times. My DD had an initial list of schools and we used mostly school websites and publicly available data.

You get a bit more information than the public data in the US news site but, for me, it was not worth it
