Has anybody applied for the US Senate Youth program this year?

Any clues on the process, particularly the test that you take at the district level: is it mostly federal government questions, or do you need to study up on your state representatives, etc.?

Did people find that the trip to Washington DC was valuable? Also, someone earlier asked if there was any left- or right-wing slant to the program, but I didn't see an answer.

Thanks.

I applied for this program and found out today that I have made it to the second round in my state- Florida. All I know is that I will be interviewed via Skype next week. I’ve been looking for information about what kind of questions they will be asking me, but haven’t found anything. My guess is that there will be questions about both state and federal government. Have you found any information?

All of those types of questions are found, plus some history and more current events related questions…KNOW THE CABINET. I know that you’ve probably already taken the test, but this should be useful for future candidates :)

Sarbear767, I am a 2013 Florida Finalist in the top 10. My skype interview will be held in 2 weeks and I am trying to prepare, what kinds of questions were you asked and what suggestions do you have? Any specific topics/events/people I need to study up on? Your help is greatly appreciated!
Thank You
