USA Chem Olympiad

How hard are the local exams and is the material on the test mainly AP stuff of honors?

If I remember right it's mostly AP stuff, but there's also some o-chem nomenclature.

Local exam's pretty easy. I took it for practice/fun (can't take it officially since not a US citizen), and got just 2 wrong. My friend, who got 1 wrong, made USNChO camp, so I figure it's at least decent. :p

Oh what's considered a good score on the local exam to advance to nationals?

so whats teh deadline/timeline for the whole competition? and you have to be u.s. citizen to be eligible? thanks

Local competition is from March 15-23 i believe..and yes i do believe you have to be US citizen

do you know the site where i can find more info?

Just google "USA Chem Olympiad" and they have practice tests there.
Does anyone know usually what score is decent to advance to national competition?

is it too late for me to try out?

Yeah unless you get your chem teacher to register by March 23rd (not sure about the date)
