USA Hockey

nationalism is a good thing, but not when you start fxxking and insulting the other side
lol lets just sit back and be ready to enjoy a great game

That’s exactly what I’m worried about. I don’t think lightening will strike twice, but I’m hoping they prove me wrong. I just think Canada playing angry will be too much for the US to handle. Don’t forget that Canada was barraging Miller at the end of that game, and outshot the US by a ton. They were clearly the better team, we just got lucky.

A side note, I think some of you were entirely overreacting to the whole women’s hockey celebration. I mean it was stupid and they probably shouldn’t have done it, but saying that they should strip them of their medals? Please. They won those fair and square on the ice.

Well-put. I would of rather had it that the US lost that game…at least Canada might be slightly more asleep at the beginning and the US could potentially jump out to a lead.

Let’s do it USA!!!

Canada looking stronger thus far IMO, but Miller has been on his game. Anybody see that chance right there? Luongo literally pushed the puck behind him, and it sat on the goal line, but nobody was there for the US to bury it.

EDIT: Damn. F U Canada.

Wooooo! US ties it up with 24 seconds left and an open net! Overtime!

Amazing! One more goal USA! LET’S GO!

:(

10char…

Well, that was unfortunate.

:( :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: :(

So sad

We came in hoping for bronze behind Canada and Russia. We got silver. I think, with the youngest team in the Olympics (i.e. primed for Sochi 2014), we have something to cheer about in the long run

Screw you Sidney Crosby. Ovechkin is better anyway.

So they’re owning the podium, eh?

As a Canuck…

GOLLLDDD. :)

I have some news for you Canadians: This gold medal doesn’t change the fact that you guys still live in Canada!!!

(Yes, I am resorting to childish insults to comfort myself during this time of unstable emotions)

^Actually a lot of those people probably live in Vancouver, which means they live in a nicer city than you do if you live in the US. They’re just winners today.

And only today. Tomorrow they will be Canada again, but I will let them bask in their glory for today.

^ Haha, yes!

jkaufman: It was just a joke. Also, Vancouver is not a nicer place to live than where I live.

Dude I’ve been to Baltimore, DC, and Vancouver. Yes it is.

^ Dude, no it’s not. I’m not saying Vancouver is bad. In fact, I could see myself living there. But where I live is crime-free, one of the wealthiest areas of the country, one of the most highly educated parts of the country, and is always rated as one of the best places to live in America. So just stop.
