USA, Italy, Turkey, Germany, Holland or Native Country?

Hey everyone,
I was rejected from my top schools in USA as SAT (1420…) was my downside. I had some strong ECs, like representing Pakistan at international competitions and winning gold medals. Can you guys help me chose a university to pursue engineering. I was will (hopefully) or recieved offers from the following Universities:
USA:
Drexel ($40000 Scholarship)
NJIT ($20000 Scholarship)

Germany:
Jacobs University( About $20000 in loan and scholarship)
KIT

Holland:
University of Twente
Groningen University

Italy:
Politecnico di Torino
Politecnico di Milano

Turkey:
Bilkent University (150% Scholarship)

Pakistan:
Lums
Nust

At the moment Bilkent University seems most economical to me and has eased off the pressure from my parents, but I am really confused about whether I will get the same standard of education at Bilkent as that at any other top University. Turkey’s current political situation is making me double minded. Bilkent is the best university in Turkey but is at 394 in World according to QS. Please help me chose a university and try to give a plausible reason. Alumni/ Current students help will be really appreciated. What do you guys think about Bilkent University?

Bump. Anyone?

  • sorry for ‘was’

A family member attended one of the University Colleges in the Netherlands. It seemed like a wonderful deal to me and a cool way to see Europe while getting an education. I’m not sure if you have researched the University Colleges. They are affiliated with Dutch universities–Amsterdam, Utrecht, etc. Dutch universities have a pre-professional approach but the UC’s are modeled after U.S. LACs. All classes are in English. The Netherlands is close to much of Europe and has an extensive rail system.

One of my kids’ friend attends a German university. He is having a blast and doing very well. I believe it is free for him, because it’s free for everyone.

I can’t really speak to studying in Turkey, though the current political situation would also give me some pause.

Good luck!
