Has anyone received the email notifying them that they are a finalist? They usually go out around this time in April, although the calendar seems pushed back a bit this year.
Just wondering, is it just finalist vs semifinalist or are there awards in between like high honors for USABO?
@y90y90 Emails for finalists usually go out about 2 days prior to the date listed on the website (when finalists are officially announced), so expect it around the 24th.

Other semifinalists, what books are you studying? I am just studying campbell and it doesn’t seem to be enough for finalist…
The https://www.usabo-trc.org/ homepage (midway down) says “2017 USABO Finalists Announced”. Does that mean the top 20 has been selected and notified already?

did you guys get the one with the nucleotide? it had like three phosphates and was a purine
@avocadoapple888 I have no idea what you’re talking about…can you elaborate? Also, regarding the website, if anyone here got the call, please tell us so we can all have some closure.
yeah it was basically, they give u a diagram of the nucleotide with three phosphates and it was a purine, and they ask you what the function of it was. since it had three phosphates it was either GTP or ATP, so the functions was either universal as an energy source (ATP) or as a guanine cap (GTP)

What did everyone put for the honeybee questions? It was the set of questions that asked about coefficient of relatedness between honeybees
Noooo I put ATP I think lol for the honeybees I put .5 .25 .75 the correct answers were .75 .25 and .25 tho I think. The last two seemed to be the same question
Also what did you guys put for the question on distribution of organisms with the highest standard deviation? Did y’all put clustered, uniform, or random?
Remember the chi squared question about whether the population was in equilibrium? It was weird Bc no significance level was given but the p value it was less than .05 so I just put it was not in hardy weinberg equilibrium.
