there was also one with the balanced aquarium...I put no energy has entered the bottle from outside was unacceptable

uncoupler of electron transport--nh4cl and f0?

Do you not understand what AintNoMountain said? The submission dates are not set in stone. It's the CEE's competition, they can change the rules in any way they want, including changing the submission deadlines. You all are too impatient.

Yeah, the others are probably right. I guess I was misinformed about when the deadline to send in stuff was. It won't hurt to wait another few days...

does anyone know how the usabo is scored?

crimson2011 - It is scored on how many you get right out of 50. So if you get 25 of the questions right, your score is 25. The cutoff is, I think, around mid 20's to 30's. I am not sure.

cadaibfed - I am sorry if I offended you and I understand the policies of test security. I will cease to take about the content of the test. I was misinformed as many of the students in my school were discussing it on Friday.

Bergen County Academy (NJ) still hasn't taken the test yet. I don't think Hillsborough took it either. And NJ has a break this week. So don't talk about the test until March, or until scores have been returned.

Scoring is just raw score out of 50, no guessing penalties.

There is no set cutoff. The score needed to advance to the semis is determined relative to how well everyone does, so it changes year to year. It was in the mid-20s the past few years, and with more people participating each year I'd expect the competition to increase.

What's there to be offended about? I'm just don't want anyone getting an unfair advantage on the test. Hopefully you feel the same way.

Yep^^. I really wouldn't want other people getting an unfair advantage over since this test is percentile based.

But on the form CEE sent, it said that all tests had to be postmarked by 2/16, so I dont see how NJ can take the test later and still have the results in by the first week of March.

Do you guys know when they will tell us our score and whether we made it or not?

www.cee.org

Everything is there. Scores are expected to come in on March 2nd.
Is testing over in New Jersey?

I don't know, but I think it would be.

can we discuss the questions now? :o

We can discuss...they have all been received!

have they been sent in from nj?

Do you guys remember any of the questions. I've forgotten most of what was on there.

what was the answer to the DNA question where they asked you what paired with something...and they gave you the structural formula for answer choices

I remember narrowing it down to two but I don't recall which one I picked.

I picked the wrong one, but I narrowed it down to the 2 purines.
