USC adcom is learning

Hate or love the status update system and the admissions waves, you have to acknowledge that USC is learning from their past mistakes. In the past I have b**ched and moaned about the apparent lack of consideration to all applicants in sending out the wave on the same day (usually Friday), and SoCal people getting their letters 3-4 days before everybody else. The recent wave is a perfect example of what they should have done all along: East Coast postmarked 3/12, Midwest 3/13, SoCal 3/14. Good adjustment!

ok,,what do u think about northwest? same date as midwest?

Has anyone gotten their admissions letter? I live in so cal and still havent gotten mine?

What do you mean? In general have people gotten their letters?

People started receiving acceptances in late January, and subsequent admittances have been received ever since. It is believed that these are still only half of the acceptances... the other half will be mailed this friday. No rejections have been sent. Does that answer your question?

Actually, a friend of a friend's friend got rejected from USC.

There have been some rejections :)
Just clearing that up.

NO THERE HASNT. When did they get "rejected"

They got rejected from the first wave.

I can double-check for you if you
d like :) If I
m wrong, then sorry for giving misleading information, haha.
I`ve heard that a few people got rejected, but the majority has been acceptances.

I'm so worried. And my application has last been checked on February 8. What does that mean?

Join the club! We`re all worrying together :)

There`s a special thread for that situation, so you can probably find more information there.

Mine just changed today. Most beautiful words of my life, haha!

Would I have been a mini-wave? I was dated March 25th.. and I got it today.. march 27th.. midwest.

what changed?

Lori1122, acceptances have been trickling out this whole week, it wasn`t a specific wave.

The next wave is supposedly being sent out tomorrow, also supposedly the biggest wave.

Summerlovin, my application status changed on the USC application website.

mine hasn't its still from 2/8...is that bad?

I can
t say if that
s good or bad, but there
s a whole thread dedicated to discussing that, so I
m sure more information is there. :)
Sorry I can`t be of more help.

does anybody know anyone from socal who has heard back?

mine is still dated march 9th.. status change

yeah my status changed yesterday to in review. i hope thats good. i really dont want to overthink it.

mine changed today
dont know what this means
