Received mine a few hours earlier–didn’t get in.

:( I have been waiting around tonight for you to post, lexii. I am sorry you were disappointed by USC, but remember you are the exact same amazing student you were before any applications were sent in .

ALL of you are going to do great things at the amazing colleges that were smart enough to accept you.

Yeah, it’s going to be okay. Thank you for all the help along the way alamemom! And at least it doesn’t have to be permanent, necessarily… there’s always next year! Good luck to everyone still waiting.

anyone here appealed? and how do you do it? and if anyone have past successful appeals, can i take a look on how it is done? thank you very much in advance

Hi, I’m a transfer student who applied to Marshall and was rejected last night.
I am curious how the appeal process works as well. It would be great if anyone can send me a successful appeal letter. Thanks.

ummm not to burst your bubble, also don’t take my word for it, but most schools don’t have an appeal process for transfer students. USC does not … you can still try to write a letter or email the dean of admissions or whomever but hopefully there is a extreme reason as to why you would appeal, i.e. family death during application process which hindered you or ex gf sabotaged your application and you have proof from the fbi or something lol. Good luck!

Transfer 2013, where does it say that a transfer cannot appeal? Many have been doing so that i know and some have reversed their decision. You are right tho the reason for appeal must be some that was not present on your original app, or something that has happened since your original application went in. Unless transfer 2013 can find firm proof that USC does not accept appeals from transfer student, go a head and Do one. Good luck!

Hi~I have the same situation like you and I am a transfer student but i got the reject letter in this May so disappointedly.I heard that we can appeal it but I don’t know how to appeal for USC. Can you tell me what should I do like what kinds of material need to update? How can I update those material?

Dassie, please look at Transfer’s link above. it mentions that there is no formal appeal process for transfer student who are rejected at USC.

I realized this but I still want to try appeal it even they said there is no appeal for transfer; this is my first choice school i should do something for it. shoud I send the email to explain why i want to appeal?

Look for your admissions counselor on the USC admissions web page. Email that person and ask if an appeal would be possible in your case. You must have a very good reason or I would not waste the admission counselors time.

@gummybear07 Are you also transfer student want to appeal?

Sad~got rejected~~

So sorry HelloKaty

I just dont know why since I am transfer student and my GPA is 3.92, so sad with the rejection letter~~~~~

I am so sorry for you get the rejection letter, and I get the rejection too. I try to connect with the admission officer and i want to appeal for it. How about you?

@dassie, I might appeal too~I talk to the admission today and they told me I could do it, but they did not tell me very specific y i got rejected. Now, I am thinking about how to prepare for the appealing letter.BTW, do you talk to the admission already?

@hellokaty I do not talk with them, I will call them tmw. And I want to know how should we do when we want to appeal like update the transcript and write the appealing letter or others.

@dassie Have you submit your spring grade yet?
