Check this morning around 8am – yep, received no email.
Mentioned my passion for USC, support from esteemed alumni, press about achievements, letters of recommendations from industry leaders, a lot of support from professors who I can not thank enough. I did more than just submit an appeal to show my passion. Plus, a lot of my grades were ‘lost’ first time around.
And my son followed the very clear instructions NOT to submit any additional letters of recommendation. 
He also stuck to a page, as instructed, when there was more to say. My advice to next year’s appealers: ignore USC’s instructions.
@jazzshreddermom I followed the instructions but I went over a page. I think it’s not needed for recommendations but most likely the decision was not overturned for the recommendations

Yes, and they were clear to state in the appeal instructions that additional recommendations at this point, with so little time, would “unfairly burden” Admissions. Seemed like it would actually hurt to ignore that. I guess not.

To be fair, I had submitted them in original application, however they were ‘lost’. And following instructions was a test! (kidding, obviously). However, these letters were incredibly substantial to who I am. My appeal was a page, but I included additional documentation, such as grades, test scores, etc.
@uclauscla – less than 2000. GPA was less than 3.7.
How low under a sat 2000 because mine was much lower
