usc bach md/ mit/ vs jhu

SO.. a guaranteed program at USC with a full scholarship vs a guaranteed program at BU with no scholarship vs premed/biomedical engineering at MIT or JHU or Caltech?

For rite now...i'm assuming biomedical engineering undergrad with a business minor if possible...but that could change...I most probably will attend medical school?

Any advice?

thanks.....for ur help!

USC..hands down.

oooo a full scholarship means you get to be a doctor for free!
p.s. did you apply to Caltech's combined med program?

Out of those.. i'd choose USC -- a full scholarship is hard to turn down

USC or MIT (but MIT premed is nooooo fun).

what do u mean by MIT premed is nooo fun? stressful? and the USC scholarship was only for the first four year!

Very stressful...

well...if mit premed is stressful...what about ucsd premed or jhu premed or caltech premed or ucberkeley premed?

plus...is USC worth the guarantee if it is ranked 36th for medical school only in research?

JHU premed is hell. In regards to research, don't even bring up those B.S. rankings...they mean nothing!

a guaranteed medical school admission in southern california...

for free.

shaddup.

anyone who got accepted into USC ba/md, can you pls list your stats? thank you!!

Check your PM

If you want to do BME + Business, the best choice is USC. The program is designed to let you do other things with your time, not to mention you automatically get the research/shadowing/volunteering hookups. Plus USC's engineering school is still top 10 and rolling in dough. Keck may be ranked 36, but it's still extremely difficult to get into because so many people are interested in California medical schools.

it's a shame that someone who was evidently smart enough to get into all those schools still holds this kind of thinking. hopefully college will give you some perspective.

lol....well...i know not to base a school of its rankings soley...but I figure at MIT...I'll gain a better undergrad education and then hopefully...I'll get into a better medical school than usc's....but in the idea of not putting usc down...I phrased the question in its matter of ranking... no doubt usc has its advantages for medical school...being in LA and having great board scores and good premed advising...so...I was wondering if it was worth the guarantee...could i expect to get into a better medical school?
