USC Campaign Moves Forward to New High

The Campaign for USC posted a new total. Helping to raise the total have been six large donations to the Keck School of Medicine.

Contributions include gifts from individuals, foundations, memorial gifts, works of art, rare books, valuable manuscripts and pledges.

Major gifts this year to Keck School of Medicine:

Stevens Family------$50 million

Caruso Family-------$25 million

Gehr Family Foundation-------$20 million

Dr. Norman Levan------$12 million

Stephenson Family------$10 million

Hastings Foundation------$7.5 million

The goal for the Keck School if $1.5 billion. Over half of that amount, $835 million, has now been raised. School of Cinematic Arts has met the goal of $500 million. The athletic department has also met the goal of $300 million. Nearing the goal are the Annenberg School and the Viterbi School of Engineering.

USC’s Board of Trustees have contributed over $1.2 billion of the campaign total. According to the Chronicle of Philanthropy alumnus, George Lucas, has contributed the highest amount, over $300 million, through his foundation.

USC Trustee Currie donated $10 million to Keck and the Michelson Center. It was posted on the site today.
