USC chances for a MN senior

Hi there. I am a rising senior male from a small town in Minnesota. I have always wanted to experience the big university life away from the midwest.
ACT: math 33, reading 32, english 30, sci 27, comp. 31
SAT: 1870, 660-math, 610-verbal, 600-writing
GPA/Class Rank: 3.94/8 out of 130?

My SAT scores are pretty poor, retaking in fall and aiming for around 2000. My school, unfortunately does not weight GPA's so my A-'s came from gym and band. I am on track to graduate with an honors diploma, and I have taken advantage of my schools most rigourous classes (though only 2 AP classes available). I have very good EC's including playing varsity soccer (captain), golf (captain), and basketball, being involved in band then choir, science olypiad, speech team, supporting players, etc. I should be a National Merit Qualifier in the fall and I hold down a job at a prestigous golf course in the summer (40-50 hours a week for college savings). I also have spent time volunteering at the local Ronald McDonald house as well as time spent working church fish fries. I know I have a more than realistic shot at Minnesota and Iowa State, but do I have a chance at USC? Any replys would be amazing. Thanks

Why would you want to go to USC instead of UCLA? (just kidding, but as a UCLA alumnus I had to throw that in)

Here's what you need to know:

USC's average GPA scores are about 3.8 UW, 4.0 W with average SAT scores of 665CR/685M/675W (1350/1600 or 2025/2400), ACT 25%-75% are at 27 to 31.

As you can tell, your GPA and ACT scores would you get you in, but if you already sent them your SAT scores, then you probably need to retake and do better (2000+) to qualify. Your ECs are good, and it is my opinion is that if you write a good essay and your absolute passion for going to USC shows through in your application, then you have a better than 50% chance of success at admission--primarily because USC is big on looking for leadership in the application--and that comes through in what you've listed here.

Good luck
