Honestly I won’t be totally crushed if I don’t get in because I already realize it’s so incredibly unlikely but a part of me will always wonder what it would’ve been like to go there
This has been around but still entertaining - to pass the time.
The group project is my fav.
@CADREAMIN you seem to know a lot about USC, do I have a chance at all with a 1260 SAT w/ 21/24 on essay? I have a very high GPA + 10 AP classes, many EC, job and community service leadership positions, my dad is an alumni. Literally just my SAT score
The good news is one thing won’t take you down at USC because of their holistic approach. It’s not like they don’t read the application because any score is too low (like the screening they do at the UCs) but the other stuff has to make up for it. So truly, no way to tell. There are all the great things about your app, then there are the things out of your control - you major/school, how many applied, what their apps are like, their demographics - where are they from, are they URM, first gen, how many total applicants (more this year) and how many they are accepting (less this year). You did your best at the time, it is out of your hands. Keep busy! Do homework or binge watch something.
No one should let getting accepted or denied (hate the word rejection) to any school define them.
Good luck!
@CADREAMIN OMG #2 was the only one pertinent and it was the hardest!
Will admissions decisions begin arriving on Thursday or does Friday count as “day 1”?
@rivers333 Friday is probably the soonest
@SCMHAALUM was editing and out of time, lol.
haha dang, okay thanks!
so at my school usc hasn’t accepted a kid in years, i was wondering if it was because my schools on the east coast? do they do something like that where they try to limit the amount of kids they accept per state, and if it’s farther away, they accept less kids from there?
@CADREAMIN I live in San Francisco, can I expect my letter before or after the portal update?.. if you happen to know.
Before in SF, on Saturday fo sho, unless of course your mailman/woman takes a long hap in the truck and misses mail delivery. Norcal is always day 2, unless something random goes wacky.
@CADREAMIN any idea about when the letters might arrive to Montana?
Great thank you! I’m so antsy
Try this guys but remember these are the max time, they could beat them, let’s hope!
Thanks for reposting- was about to dig through to find it again
If they ship on Friday, wouldn’t second day be Monday since mail isn’t delivered on Sunday?..
They ship tomorrow, so second day would be Saturday, I believe. Plus I think it also depends on whether your postal service delivers on Sunday
@introtoxx I’m from the east coast as well and according to my school’s naviance, this year is the first year in a while that my school has had students accepted to USC! Both of us were nominated as scholarship finalists too, so you never know what might happen! Good luck and I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you!
When portal updates, do they send an email with the same message? When it was scholarship round in January, I got both an email and message on my portal stating that I was not being considered for a scholarship, but I was wondering if they do the same for acceptances
