USC Class of 2022

USC goes through all this (and puts you through all this) in hopes of providing a spectacular moment that only happens by receiving the package. We have had four of these at our house and I can tell you, letting the student get or find the package is a lifetime opportunity that once it is over is over. None of my kids knew they were coming and got to have that moment. It is a memory will last forever!

Forget obsessing about tracking that doesn’t work and let it happen. I hope this can be your student’s moment!

@cadreamin What time does it say when you click on this link…?

That ended up being a fraud…look a few posts down from that one you posted…kid was on different school sites saying making up that he got in then was never heard from again.

Understood.

I will never understand the point in posting misinformation.

@awkwardambition @colorful123 I’m from Turkey. It says “Estimated Delivery: Tuesday, March 27,2018 By End of Day”

@Zeynepp - It sounds like you have great news en route, but will just have to get portal update on Saturday night/Sunday morning before the package. It would not be a rejection letter, from the weight and they don’t DHL express those.

Is it normal to see absolutely nothing on informed delivery?

It’s not just building a more diverse class, though that is part of it. It is that this age cohort is that diverse, especially in California. And with 16% internationals, I’ll bet most of them are non-white, because that’s what the world is.

Even when you look at all ages, California is 40% white.

(But of course some white males will say they were rejected in the name of diversity).

@WWWard Kids being kids on the internet.

^^^ True I guess… but my kids would have lost their access to the Internet had I caught them doing such…

@SCMHAALUM Thornton applicants can choose which teachers to study with. Some professors are very famous and their studios are difficult to get in.

Seconded the question, is it normal to see nothing matching what the package would be?

To date… even those receiving the “White Boxes” via USPS have never gained advanced notice via USPS inquiries.

I just set up informed delivery and it also says I have no packages coming today. I live in Southern California, around 30 min drive from USC. Does this mean I’m not receiving anything or is it because USC doesn’t allow us to track? I’m starting to getting worried, even tho I doubt I’m getting in.

You are wasting your time looking at informed delivery digest. It does not show up there.

Son just received white box in the mail. SoCal. Waiting for him to get home to open.

In in Phoenix, AZ (2 day delivery) - is there any way it will get here today? I’m SO anxious…

Congrats! First to Post!!!

What area of Socal???

This is a different applicant pool than, say, 15 years ago. Kudos to USC for valuing diversity as one of many components of building a world-class university.

@GodHelpUs Congrats!!!
