USC Class of 2022

Maybe they are wising up like Georgia Tech who released on a Saturday at noon. Why keep students up all night??? Wash U and Emory released at 3pm (PST) last week, which is a more reasonable time.

USC Merit scholarship students were told it would be yesterday (Friday afternoon) for scholarship decisions, yet they started rolling out portal updates for some students at 7pm (PST) Thursday, March 22. Students and parents were up all night or very late (especially on the East Coast) and many did not get an answer. S finally got his portal update yesterday around 7:45am, which was fortunately good news but he was tired all day yesterday.

There are still scholarship students today who have not heard anything!!! Folks, there were only 1200 scholarship students to be notified yesterday and they didn’t get it right. This may not bode well for this weekend with over 55,000 RD students flooding the portals for decisions. My guess is they are dealing with some serious IT issues and delayed til noon tomorrow for a reason. Of course, just because they say “noon tomorrow” now, don’t be surprised if they don’t start rolling some out before then! I hope they get their act together before tomorrow!

I just went on UPS tracking and it said no packages expected to be delivered today… does this mean I am denied? or is tracking from USC not enabled?

@lmsterp not enabled

We are in NJ and my son is waiting to hear if he has been accepted to Thornton. I have been reading the comments so I went on USPS and signed up for the delivery notice, it had nothing and then about 8 AM Eastern it said we had 0 MAIL PIECES and 3 PACKAGES, I clicked on the package and it said from USC but has an unknown delivery date and it " has arrived at USPS regional facility LOS ANGELES CA DISTIBUTION CENTER "at 1:57 AM 3/24. Do you think it is an acceptance because it says package sent priority mail or a rejection letter because it is still in LA distribution center at a little after midnight still? Do they send rejections priority mail too? This is crazy,I just want to know so we can get on with our lives!!

@Drummerdad1 CADREAMIN posted details in prior entries that the packages are not trackable in USPS.

@Drummerdad1 that’s really interesting. From what I’ve heard, USC acceptance packages aren’t trackable. I believe they send rejections through regular mail, I don’t think it’s priority, but I’m not too sure.

@ep18 I think there was post on here saying someone’s friend got a rejection letter already

@Rohael yes, I’ve heard that a few people have received rejections letters at my school and around my area. But, of course, I can’t confirm or deny

@ep18 lets just hope ours isn’t one

@Rohael lol agree! Good luck!!

Hey! Did anyone from India receive their decisions yet?

@nm0008 I’ve been accepted at 7 different colleges over the past 2 months. I still haven’t received even a single package from even one of them lol.

I didn’t say I can track it because tracking would give you a delivery date, it just says a package and not a mail piece was sent priority mail from UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA and that it was in the LA distibution center at 1:57 AM 3/24. Previous post says acceptance are priority and rejections are first class. I guess we will know when it gets here but probably won’t be until Monday.

@Heisenberg1700 haha same! But that’s because you get it once you enroll for that school/college. Others send their decisions through email but USC sends it via postal mail. So I was just wondering…

@drummerdad1 did you use informed delivery?

Yes, I signed up for it this morning.

@drummerdad1 how did you verify yourself so quickly

did informed delivery work for anyone who was accepted?

Seems like CADREAMIN has been accurate thus far. Thanks again for the insight.

I got accepted yesterday in SoCal and I have informed digest and it didn’t show anything. Not even “there’s a mailpiece that wasn’t scanned. Hope this relieves some stress and good luck!!:slight_smile:
