USC Class of 2022

I am in Massachusetts. My mail came at 8 am. No package. No letter. I have informed delivery and I have nothing from California. Two things from Ohio. Hoping and Praying.

I’m in Vancouver, Canada and called DHL yesterday. They said I couldn’t track a package without the tracking number so I guess I will have to wait until tonight to find out since mail doesn’t get delivered on the weekends. Congratulations to those who got in and good luck to everyone still waiting!

No package or letter in our mail today in Boston

Informed delivery shows a scan of the rejection letter - first class mail, letter size.

I have a feeling USC, in the name of “holistic” admission, bases its decision on race. That’s the reason it has only 16% Asian can only be explained by this theory. UCLA/UCI/UCSD have 40+% Asian population.

So if you are an Asian male trying to get into USC, best of luck. You will be denied on the basis of a “holistic” review.

And it’s listed under “mail” not “packages”

The rejection letters are sent first class while the packages are sent priority. Sent at same time. While first class should be slower, they do catch up with the packages IN SOME PLACES. The use to mail them a few days after packages, but now they are at same time, so yes, you will see letter in USPS informed delivery IN SOME PLACES, the packages should not be showing up in USPS.

So as we know, the mail is not reliable and best to let the moment happen. But ya, I get it, this is only a great process for the 13% that get in, which is less than that today because 1200 were already accepted in January. For many it is just awful angst.

Been through this several times and I can honestly confirm, that a student getting this package on their own can be one of their biggest memories ever if not biggest to date - and if you are lucky enough to see their reaction to it - it can be one of your best as a parent.

This decision only happens once for them, let them experience it if you can…

@momamet are you in norcal?

ACCEPTED!!! I’M CRYING SO MUCH!!! MARYLAND

@cali999 CONGRATULATIONS!!! What were your stats if you don’t mind me asking

@jayparent USC is a private school not a public like the ones you mentioned that draw from their applicant population which sees a lot more Asians applying to it. You will see USC is a melting pot and it is much more balanced than many UCs in terms of admits. India and some middle eastern is included in the white percentage.

White 38%
Asian / Asian American 21%
Latino / Hispanic 15%
International (student visa holders) 14%
Multiple Ethnicities 7%
Black / African American 5%
Native American or Pacific Islander <1%

I have nothing in my informed daily mail. In zone 2. Houston Tx.

@chrismc THANK YOU!!! My stats aren’t that good, I really didn’t think I would get in.
GPA: 3.67 (three different high schools)
ACT: 30 (E: 35, M: 26, R: 33, S: 27)
Latina, mixed race, international student
Annenberg - journalism major
Managing editor of school newspaper, cultural clubs…
I’m really happy!!!

My USPS says i have nothing coming, not even a letter. What does this mean

Did anyone in Florida get anything?

Nothing in Westchester County, NY (north of NYC) today. Mail arrived a few minutes ago.

@jj1999 Same here – it just means that neither the package (acceptance) nor the rejection letter is arriving today. We’ll find out tomorrow on the portal.

@jj1999 doesn’t mean anything!! I just got a white box and I didn’t see anything either on informed delivery

has anyone in Kings County, NY received anything yet?
