USC Class of 2022

@polololo @momwith2b @bout2getrejekted @PatiencePls We are in San Francisco and didn’t get letter or package. Checking portal tonight! I used to think the letter thing was a good idea but now I think it just unnecessary adds to the anxiety.

Were acceptances and rejections send in one wave?

Rejected. I live in the bay area and my letter came this afternoon. In state with 3.83 UW and 4.05 W with three concussions. 1470 superscored SAT with 760 math and 710 english. EC of varsity volleyball (captain senior year, 2nd team all league senior year, state and norcal regional champion junior year), performing arts (school musical all for years, advanced choir three years, advanced drama), activism (feminist club, QSA), and a job for two summers. Congrats to those who got in!

@Laketahoe79 Yes, they take APs, but I believe you will find UCLA takes more. They will accept 3s for credit, USC does not. Also some goes to elective credit versus credit for that department. That can apply at both schools. You should look into that.

will they send an email once the portal is updated?

@tnev62 Which city are you located at? I haven’t heard anything from my city!

Someone please tell me it could just be the mail delay :frowning: I’m so sad right now I’ve lost all hope.

@pinkcactus I live in St. Louis and I haven’t received a letter either

Yeah will they send an email once the portal has been updated?

@polololo I know some people from the Emerald Hill to the Red Morton area have not received anything

I’m from the bay area and I got rejected from usc. My letter came in the mail so check your mail boxes if you live in cali!! I’m not too sad bc I want to stay in nor cal and I wasn’t really expecting anything bc my stats aren’t that great

Rejected

GPA: uw: 3.73 w: 4.1 (that’s my uc gpa idk my weighted)
ACT: 31
Good essays and extracurriculars

accepted into: UC Davis, SCU, UC Santa Cruz and UOP

WL: UCSB

Rejected. Just got my letter today. 35 on ACT, 4.6 W 3.93 UW, only 2 B’s in Honors Spanish 2 (rest of grades were A’s), rigorous courses, lacrosse for 4 years (varsity for 3), choir for 4 years (highest level for 2), kidworks club vp (raised $6k this past semester for local kidworks), lead the confirmation program at my church for the past 2 years, over 15 performing arts, academics, and athletics awards (school given and national), started my own business. For those rejected out there, you are not alone. Good luck to everyone who got in.

Found out that I got in yesterday! I live in HB, SoCal. I got 2019 Spring Admission to SCA for Cinema and Media Studies!!! So excited!

I’m from Atherton CA and haven’t gotten a rejection or acceptance letter although my mail did come today. When my brother was applying in 2015, he was rejected and his letter came a few days later than some people. I believe this is because rejections are first class not priority, however there seems to be people from the bay area that have gotten rejection letters. Let me know what’s going on

For those in Bay Area who did not receive a USC acceptance or rejection yet, I know it does not look great, but there is still a small chance. Last year my son did not receive anything on Saturday even thought many of high school classmates did. However, he actually was accepted and the white box arrived at our house on the following Monday. So you never know until it is complete.

would be down to be a spring admit any day.

@LaserFocus this gives me hope

@LaserFocus thank you

Still feel if USC really wants all their incoming freshman to have the true USC mail acceptance, they would mail on a Monday/Tuesday or send the 2- and 3-day zones a day or two earlier. Great USC tradition, just not executed well. Of their 8000 acceptances, my guess is 70 percent do not get their special USC package until after the portal announcements.

To anyone worrying that not receiving anything in the mail means rejection, this is not true. I have 2 friends, one that received acceptance and one that received rejection, both today. Don’t give up hopes! Blame it on the slow mail!
