Thanks everyone! Maybe it’s from another school lol.
someone from my school received their package today… and we live in New England. Not looking too good for my chances haha. I did not receive anything today
.
How do you find out if there is a delivery for you in DHL?
I’m just curious as to what’s in the boxes because I’ll probably never know haha. Like is it stickers or somethin
Someone received their acceptance package today who lives near me…we’re in Chandler (by Phoenix), Arizona. Sooooooo im waiting for my thin ass envelope containing my rejection letter HAHAHA
Rejected…
1440 SAT and 4.4 wGPA
pretty good ECs and essays
Also got rejected from UCLA, UCSB, JHU, and a bunch of other colleges… too many rejections to name them all
omg me @kj1357
@uscbound0417 wow, we have a really similar SAT score & GPA, and i also applied to Dornsife and live in Brooklyn! what time did you receive your acceptance package?
@Palaksh Don’t think you can find out for DHL… It seems like you can for USPS
My D applied to USC; we live in a mid-sized town and are excited about viewing results shortly on the portal. Most of my D’s friends are staying in-state. Are there many other Louisiana applicants out there and if so, where do you live? Best of luck to all!
My heart is with all of those who got rejected… I live in Texas and the decision isn’t out yet but I’m nervous as hell as USC is my #1 choice. Wish me luck!
Thornton School of Music handles their acceptance notification separately and sent some packages independently (an insider confirmed this). Apparently only two people of the many thousands of posts on cc mentioned that they received a package and were able to see their packages in USPS, and it was because they were from Thornton. (Very few admits, small program). No other acceptances saw the package in USPS because USC did not enable tracking. However the rejection letter, which is a standard white envelope, was scanned in certain places but not everywhere.
USPS Informed Delivery is a new program just started in 2017 last year, so it had no impact on decisions last year. This year we see that 99.9% of the packages were trackable, but letters may or may not be. Who knows what will happen next year.
Internationals and DHL - you cannot inquire. The one guy got lucky from Turkey this morning. At our house, we know our DHL guy well, and in a pretend scenario, I know I could ask him to look up in bound packages, but you can’t just call DHL without a tracking number.
Frankly this post is sorta a note to self for next year.
(Thanks @pdxtigermom for catching the Thornton thing.)
i know im probably going to get rejected but i keep on getting my hopes up
@JohnGaltIII you’re welcome
Rejected sadly!
I had a 4.5w/3.98uw, 35 act score, over 300 hours of volunteering, good ecs and several leadership positions…
Accepted: UCDavis (regents), UCSB (regents), UCSD, UCLA, University of Washington, UofOregon, Cal Poly, SDSU, U Chicago
Rejected: Northwestern, and USC(my#1)
Is the estimated portal update still midnight pst?
Yes… start checking the portal at 12am PST
Nothing in the mail, it’s all ogre
Is it safe to say I was rejected if someone in my city got an acceptance but I have received nothing? I am in the 2-day priority zone. No need to try and make me feel better, just please be honest. Have you heard of any stories like this where same city get acceptances different days?
Any insight would help. Thank you!
