USC Class of 2022

@polololo some of my friends living in the same area as I received rejection letters from USC in the mail, but some received nothing. it goes both ways, so don’t worry too much!

@polololo I’m in the exact same situation as you. I checked informed delivery and it says nothing as far as a rejection letter as well. I’m just hoping that somehow others in Sacramento received theirs but my package somehow got mixed up in the mail. Maybe it has to do with the delivery times??

I just quickly scanned the last 250 posts. I have been on CC for 5 years now. During that time, I have done my best to help as I can. This cycle though is the first time that I have actually experienced posts that have led me to believe that some of you posters should be outright rejected. Clearly, anyone can post anonymously… but why present yourself in a manner that would encourage others to root against you. Oh well…

OMG I had a mistake in here and just posting it again so it is correct for those next year. Left out an important “NOT trackable”,ugh, sorry folks, just move on by this…

Thornton School of Music handles their acceptance notification separately and sent some packages independently (an insider confirmed this). Apparently only two people of the many thousands of posts on cc mentioned that they received a package and were able to see their packages in USPS, and it was because they were from Thornton. (Very few admits, small program). No other acceptances saw the package in USPS because USC did not enable tracking. However the rejection letter, which is a standard white envelope, was scanned in certain places but not everywhere.

USPS Informed Delivery is a new program just started in 2017 last year, so it had no impact on decisions last year. This year we see that 99.9% of the packages were NOT trackable, but letters may or may not be. Who knows what will happen next year.

Internationals and DHL - you cannot inquire. The one guy got lucky from Turkey this morning. At our house, we know our DHL guy well, and in a pretend scenario, I know I could ask him to look up in bound packages, but you can’t just call DHL without a tracking number.

Frankly this post is sorta a note to self for next year.

(Thanks @pdxtigermom for catching the Thornton thing.)

We live in CT. 8 students from my HS applied and only 2 received the white box today. I was one of the fortunate. Others didn’t receive rejection letters from what I have heard and seen posted so far.

@sublemon I received mine at around 12 noon, you will be able to check in a few hours from now though on your portal

D got the white box today. Oklahoma. Even though she has committed elsewhere, she was absolutely giddy. She really loves USC, even though it’s not The One.

Nothing in Informed Delivery this morning, and trust me, I scoured every corner of that website.

Fight on! \m/

So is it after 2 hours we will receive our decision through the portal?

@WWWard I think I know which posts you are referring to. As soon as I saw a certain post in the thread, I knew I should leave the site for a couple of hours before I starting ranting and fighting lol

@WWWard Don’t let a few bad apples bring you down. The information and insight you and @CADREAMIN have provided to hundreds, or even thousands, has been invaluable and greatly appreciated by the majority. Thank you for all your help during this process.

i think it just got heated cuz people are too nervous and anxious about college decisions

My son got TTP. I’m THRILLED, He will go to one of the 4 yr schools that he was accepted at. He will go all in. But, he has the USC insurance plan if the OOS weather doesn’t work for him lol!

So is the portal going to be updated in less than 2 hours?

My S got into USC Thrornton and received the standard package today. Was not on USPS, however, there is a second package on the way from USC which looks like it is coming Monday.

Does anyone know what time portals are updated PST?

@ohmybriony 12 am i think not suuure

Supposed to be midnight PDT - less than 2 hours

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE I hoooope i get in so bad it would be a dream

Would application status update at 12pm indicate TTP or do I have to receive the letter to see if I got it? Because regardless of all the people who “didn’t receive anything today” I am pretty positive that means rejection. To me there is no other way to see it, someone literally ten minutes away from me received a package. :frowning:

I hope there is a miracle for everyone that have not received both the letter and the package!
