USC Class of 2022

@edszebra I feel the same way about the UC system. I feel like they just rush through the applications.

Looked over my applications so many times before submitting, but afterwords I didn’t look at it at all. Didn’t want to see a spelling error or something else that would make me go crazy thinking about it. :))

So does anyone know what day portals will officially update? I’m curious

Hi guys! I’m really here to find out when the confirmations of scholarship for finalists is coming out. So I’ll just share a bit about myself. I submitted my application on December 1st (procrastinate much cuz of too much proofreading and last minute edits.) My essay was read by a Barnard English professor I met at Columbia’s 3 week summer immersion, but I still ended up changing half of it  I was hella scared cuz on CommonApp my app was downloaded on the 2nd of December! Fast forward, I got invited to Explore for Pres Scholarship Interview. Loved the campus and spirit (fight on!) Really anxious for the news, I’m refreshing my email by the hour! Did I mention I’m from and schooled in Nigeria? I can answer questions for internationals if you like. Plus I’d love to hear any news on fellow finalists. Good luck guys! Good luck to the regular applicants too!

@kuhlm44937 I made a huge grammatical/logical error in my Stanford app  I laugh about it now but I had the mother of all anxiety attacks. Made the same mistake for Santa Clara too, but they accepted me. Needless to say, 'ole Stan gave me the L

@MrReshokar, Congrats on being invited for the Pres Scholarship interview. It has been reported on this site and elsewhere that the ExploreUSC scholarship interview results will be posted on Thursday, March 22nd, likely at around 4pm (PST). That’s only four more days to wait. You can stop refreshing your email. Get some rest and check the USC portal on Thursday :-). They are also supposedly sending out the RD packages on Thursday as well. Good luck and Fight On!

@MrReshokar I stopped looking back on apps after I learned the hard way. :)) I made a spelling error on my NYU application. It was in the current courses section, and was something small, so I know it won’t be that big of a deal, but I did freak out about it a lot. I’m sorry about Stanford, but congrats on Santa Clara!

I live in Los Angeles county but I’m going to be in Italy the day admissions come out on the 22nd. What time is the portal going to be updated on the 25th.

I was denied at UCLA with a 4.3 and a 1550. Do I have any chance of getting into Marshall at USC?

On instagram, USC said there’s no set time but it should be up by Noon PST on March 25th

The portal updates at 12:01am PST or just after midnight on the 25th - has been this way for last couple years, was about 1:30am, but it seems they like to do it just after midnight. They say by noon cause it does take awhile and to hedge for technical glitch, but the acceptances roll out in the first couple hours once they start.

What? How can UCLA reject 1550 and 4.3?

Wait, when you say “just after midnight on the 25th” do you mean 12:00 am on the 25th or 12:00 am the night of the 25th (technically the morning of the 26th)? @CADREAMIN

I have a relatively low GPA, but I had a straight A senior year with 4 APs… Will my low GPA still get me insta-rejected?

@Bella2018 I’m thinking they meant 12 AM of the 25th since Usc said “should be up by noon” on the 25th

Okay wait sorry to ask again but have you guys all already submitted the Identity Documentation/ Statement of Educaiton Purpose Form on the financial aid page?

Oh okay, cuz noon is 12 pm, so I got confused. Thank you!

@North88 that’s why I was shocked when I opened my portal and found that. I considered UCLA to be one of my viable options… that’s why I’m nervous for SC

Saturday night just after midnight/Sunday morning the 25th. They say noon to allow time to get them up. But in last few years it has been just after midnight.

do NTSAF decisions come through when USC sends out scholarship decisions , or with financial aid?
