USC Class of 2022

Yes, very. Sorry, it is.

what about environmental science? how competitive is that in usc?

How competitive is an econ-math major at USC??

With 65,000 applications and a 13% acceptance rate which is even lower for engineering, SCA, Thorton, etc., it is safe to say they are all competitive. There is no easy way in.

Guess we’ll just have to wait and see on the 25th.

Hi guys. I applied to USC before Dec 1 - didn’t get any scholarship.
Recently rejected by UCLA.
Hoping for the best on 25th.
Do internationals get admissions packages (sorry if I’ve asked before)?

I’m FREAKING OUT guys…just got denied from BU which was my 2nd choice after USC and my college advisor thought I had a good shot at getting in…trying to stay positive!! Does anyone by any chance know how many are admitted to spring admission each year?

While it is clearly a temptation to compare colleges in terms of their selectivity in an effort to predict admissions, there really is no accurate method for correlation. Elite colleges and universities evaluate candidates independently using their own decision-making process. Last year, for example, my daughter got into one university that only accepts 6% while getting denied by a handful of other colleges… some that accept as many as 27%. There is just no accurate way to forecast these decisions. Subjectivity depends on the eye of the beholder. It can also depend on demographics, the #s applying to each major, etc. There are way too many factors that are simply outside of the control of applicants. You simply have to wait, hope and see what comes…

But good luck to all those really hoping for a “white box” this week. Our family went through this arduous process twice. Thankfully… we are done with college admissions. And thankfully for this cycle’s applicants, you are now within a week of finally knowing.

Got denied by BU (WAITLIST) and UC Davis even though my stats were above the average admitted on Naviance and my counselor told me they were shoe ins for me. I hope USC has mercy on me and even a yellow box would be nice.

I’m still shook that the acceptance rate will be 13% this year…that’s like little to no chance

Hey guys somehow USC isn’t replying to my financial aid submissions does that mean I didn’t get in? It’s already been like 3-4 days/

No correlation they are just busy and it takes more than 3-4 days for this stuff.

guys don’t stress out about which colleges you’ve been accepted/rejected from, and please don’t try to compare yourself to anyone & say that there’s no chance for you, you really never know, and everything that happens will happen for a reason. College and the journey that comes with it is meant to be difficult, and we can all hope for the best, and let it be at this point in the process.
I know USC is basically a dream for most of us, so stay positive until the big day comes, fight on!!!

I can’t stop reading over my Usc app even though there’s nothing I can change now lol

I know… keep thinking what I should have done or wrote

Last year, someone at my school got into USC with a 3.68 UW GPA and 26 Act, decent extracirrculars/ essays/ and LORs. And I am pretty close in stats. So if I have slight hope of getting in you guys should too!!!

@candylover132 ugh can that happen to me

Rules at our house - Submit application. Never look at again. No regrets.

Wait so have you guys not turned in the required forms on the financial aid page?
