USC class of 2023 Applicants Thread

@ccollege123 no, it doesn’t yet. Wait for tomorrow. Portal

Is New York most likely tomorrow? I live about 30 minutes from NYC so I’m not sure

It’s a beautiful white box. Bigger than I expected.

@ykim25 Thanks! Two Presidentials here on pins and needles! (At least their Mom!)

this waiting is killing me!!! my mail lady still isn’t here and i’m about ready to call the post office and ask for her whereabouts! all my friends have gotten their boxes!

Should I be expecting anything tomorrow? I am in Washington DC.

Put in 90007 origin

I just happened to be home and just received a big white box via Priority Mail. My daughter isn’t home right now, and of course, I’ll let her open it.

I assume it’s an acceptance letter.

BTW, we are in Orange County, California.

1 day zone and still waiting XD

For those of you who received their boxes, did the portal update also?

@KnightOC was yours received after your normal mail or with it?

what part of OC? Did it come with the regular mail lady?

@KnightOC when’d you receive the package?

If it’s a 2-day zone, then will I receive it today?

@allielola you’re welcome

And congrats to all those receiving the good news today!

As a Recap for the applicants waiting:

USC has announced that nearly 67K applied this cycle and that the admit rate will be circa 11%. That equates to around 7,370 being admitted overall. Since 1,000 or so were admitted in January during the scholarship phase, another 6,370 or so will be admitted this week. That # includes both fall and spring admits.

The mail-out of admissions packages, sent via USPS Priority Mail, occurred yesterday morning… March 21st. The admission portals will update for all applicants on March 23rd at 5pm Pacific.

Today is thus Day One for deliveries…

You can project your likely delivery window via the following link… https://www.usps.com/priority-mail/map/ Simply use 90007 as the originating zip code. Be forewarned however that USPS is far from 100% reliable, and they do too often miss those delivery windows. The portal updates on the 23rd will be the definitive answer.

Rejection letters arrive via regular mail later… usually received after the portals update - unless you live close enough to USC.

While you can of course try Informed Delivery via USPS, as it has worked for some, USC does not enable tracking and historically very few of those actually getting the admission packets were able to gain that same-day advanced notice. The vast majority who have had Informed Delivery, including my own family, were not able to see this particular type of package en route. But there is always a chance.

Best of luck to all those waiting for good news…

I’m in the one-day zone and haven’t received anything yet (the regular mail was delivered already). hopefully tomorrow

Regular mail came but no package/letter from USC. Anxiously waiting for tomorrow. I live near USC and many of my friends have been accepted. Does this mean I will be rejected? Maybe something will come later/tomorrow in the mail?

Will they let u know if they sent the package?

BOTH OF MY TWIN SONS GOT INTO USC~~ 1 into School of Cinematic Arts for Interactive Game Design (they only pick 15 kids a year!) and the other into Dornslife for PHysics. I almost fainted when I saw the postal carrier carrying 2 white boxes and then I yelled for the boys to go out to the front porch!! Oh, they are from Los Angeles!!!
