USC class of 2023 Applicants Thread

I said “up there” - not sure why it takes so long to get mail from CA since you are so close. Sorry for confusion.

@xygate487 up north from Cali

@Mimi1977 - If you check the USPS delivery map, you will see that the whole NW is in the 3-day delivery zone. Hard to understand why they can deliver across the country in 2 days but it takes 3 days to go up the coast. We have the same spring break problem, but we’re resigned and have just put on a mail hold.

i hope so soon :frowning:

has anyone in the Boston Area gotten anything yet?

Well, the postman finally showed up and I begged him to search his whole area. He was not annoyed but just a little bit surprised. I guess we won’t have a mailbox moment before the portal update. We are in Portland Oregon. The good thing is we already know my son was accepted and there’s a white box waiting for him next Monday.

did not receive… mail was delivered earlier :frowning: In NYC

@CADREAMIN , and @WWWard - Thank you for all your encouragement, and advice.

We still have to make decision (if it makes sense financially for us to support 2 kids in USC -Her sister had merit scholarship last year - we don’t know if she will have any not until probably end of next week or early next month).

Congrats to those who will join Trojan Family, and truly also congrats those who might also find your path somewhere incredible too.

@colparents you’re welcome. good luck with your decision…

@ssmmgh I’m pretty close to Boston and I got my package at around 12:00 but I’m sure that different areas of MA could get packages on different days!

Haven’t received anything yet and i live in socal. pretty sure i’m not gonna get in lol, my only hope is that i’ll be offered TTP

Delivered to Mailbox, sometimes mails are not delivered on time as scheduled, good luck!

anything in the atlanta area??

do they send out rejection and acceptance mail at the same time? bc i haven’t gotten either and i live in so-cal and a lot of people in the area have gotten acceptance packages.

Did anyone in the rural areas outside of Houston get a package? Definitely not in the USPS circle around Houston. We are usually a day later than Houston.

Oregon applicant here. We (Oregon and Washington) almost certainly have to wait for the portal. We’re in the 3 day zone on the map, and someone at my school who was a merit finalist didn’t get the package until the 3rd day. Just over 2.5 hours to go… we’ve got this.

I am a Thornton applicant and I don’t have any packages in informed delivery but it does say there’s a mail-piece that has no picture available. Could it be the box? (portland, oregon)

@colparents good luck in decision, I bet she has some other great choices if you decide to go a different direction. We have 4 college kids, so ya, yikes, I get it. Balancing money and fairness and happiness with reality is always fun.

@ramenluvr14 Supposedly, the rejections will be letters that go in the mail today. They aren’t sent at the same time as the packages.

Anyone from Michigan get a package. Haven’t found anyone so far on CC. I’m sincerely hoping this has been an error on USPS’s end. Is it rare for someone to get a package after the portal updates regardless of the fact that southern Michigan is in the 2 day window?
