I checked my portal after I heard about the glitch to see if I had a decisionā¦I didnāt so I believe they did fix it or it only happened to a few people.
When we open our portals on the 24th, will it say something along the lines of check admission status or will you have tabs showing admit things (ie housing). Do they do the rejection pdf?
You will see some badge on the page with something like āI got inā (I forget exactly the three words they use), then this stuff:

When you download the PDF does the title of the document give it away, whether itās an acceptance or rejection?
Acceptance is obvious. Rejection letters are attached pdf.
How did yāall know the portal will update on the 24th?
It is posted by usc admissions. Earlier we guessed based on previous years and put out 24th or 25th for portal and 20-22nd for mailing but now it is verified. Packages mailed on 21st and portal update the 24th per usc admissions.

If my expected delivery is ā2 dayā shipping does that mean the 21st is the first day and the 22nd is the second day? Or the 22nd is the first day?
Where is it confirmed that they ship the 21st not the 20th?

21st Mailed - sent out on USPS trucks.
22nd is first day - Socal gets most of theirs, San Diego can be/tends to be day 2nd however.
23rd is second day - a lot of the country, particularly if they get out earlier on the 22nd (they will tweet when trucks are loaded). Major metro and those close to them including East coast and Florida. Seattle, no idea why - but they tend to be third day, ugh. But second day is by far the big money day - a large percentage will have received packages by end of this day. But still more to come day threeā¦
24th - Most everyone else in U.S., except those whose package are lost or late (talking to you @WWWard). They have updated portal for years just after midnight which would mean update late Saturday night, early Sunday morning. HOWEVER, for merit in January they did it at noon EST. Since no mail typically on Sundays, it doesnāt help their cause of people getting packages in person by making it later in the day, so maybe they will show some compassion and stick with early schedule?
Unless we get insider tip or USC discloses time, students will be portal checking continuously starting at 12:01 am - and I donāt blame them for that, I would be too if still in the game - but hopefully USC puts out a portal update time once they mail packages.
