Thank you for trying to keep the spirits up @micklimey1972 …we needed to hear that!!
@GvilleMOM85 we are out of state in VA - Sports Management Major.
Yeah when I called the school they said the banner doesnt usually update until about 5 days until acceptance letters go out
It’s all killing me, but I’m so grateful for this little community of similarly minded moms. Thanks to all of you, you’ve made this so much easier.
No small envelope here either. Accepted into Clemson yet waiting for decision on our 2nd Review from USC. Heck even Penn State main campus, Tennessee and Auburn said Yes lol.
Has anyone received a small envelope?
Large item turned out to be… a magazine ugh
Nothing again today…no small or large envelope:(
@amkerr What major did your student apply for at Penn State? Just curious.
@lastone03 business administration so he was accepted at main campus direct into Smeal
Okay, I was wrong… panic. Logged on today, son got gateway. Portal updated sometime this afternoon. He was second review, 3.7 GPA and 1060, top 30 percent, in state. Got to decide between App State and bridge now. Leaning towards App State as I have heard horror stories about gateway. Good luck to everyone else!
@amkerr that’s awesome and an excellent school. My son was accepted last year to University Park too. I would think if you got in there, you should be in at SC. I can’t imagine Moore is more competitive than Smeal.
@lastone03 where did your son go last year?
@amkerr he’s at South Carolina in the Sport and Entertainment Management Program. He is also going to minor in business. It all boiled down to the program and the annual $20K differential in cost. Both are about the same distance from home, just in opposite directions. His first choice was Wisconsin, but he didn’t get in.
Portal changed to Gateway acceptance as well. Oh well. At least now I know. Thanks to everyone who offered support and good luck to everyone still waiting to hear!
@micklimey1972 my S is still waiting, and I just recently found out about getaway program. Would you please share what stories you heard about it? Thanks!
Micklimey1972 Gamecock Gateway program is a bridge to USC … students live on campus but all classes Freshman year are at a local technical school . They have all privileges as regular students except they cannot pledge a frat or sorority Freshman year
Portals updated … Gamecock Gateway
Instate 1040 SAT 3.2 GPA at highly competitive private school .
My friend was put into gateway 3 years ago. She was in that program for 2 years before becoming a full time USC student
Oops ? stats wrong 1140 SAT not 1040
