USC Dorm's as a transfer student.

Hey guys,

I am a community college student who just applied to USC and am waiting for my response. I am pretty sure I will get in so I am doing my due diligence on the dorm situation. I am from a low-income family and basically had a 4.0 GPA when I applied so I am hoping I can get a lot of financial aid. I have been getting a lot at the community college.

ANYWAYS,

what would be the best place for a JR like me to live on campus? I want to have a social life and be close to the heart of campus but also have a little space in my dorm because I make music and would love to keep my keyboard with me

You are NOT guaranteed housing as a transfer, even if you’re admitted. OurvD was a sophomore spring admit and enjoyed living in Webb. JRs have no guarantee of campus housing. There are many apartments near campus that could work. Housing is pricey and there is no guarantee of FAid for transfers or any students.

It’s pretty arrogant to assume that you’re going to get in. Get admitted first, then get the aid you need, and then worry about where you’re going to live.
