USC Econ or UMich Econ

Hi all,

I’ve been admitted to both USC Econ and UMich Econ and was wondering which school would be better if I’m looking to transfer into Marshall or Ross respectively. Obviously, Ross is the better business school but I wanted to know how difficult it is to get into Marshall vs. Ross after studying Econ for a year or so.

I am not sure about Marshall, but Ross has slowly been transitioning from virtually 100% internal transfers (from within the University of Michigan), to mostly preadmit. That being said, Ross will still be admitting roughly 80-100 internal transfers, and since students who applied for preadmit unsuccessfully will no longer be considered, I would estimate that the acceptance rate for internal transfers will remain in the 30%-40% range.
